What to Expect
What to Expect During the Booking Process and Your Session.
If you have not already, check out my work in “sample galleries” first. This is where you should decide if my style is the right fit for your needs. While I can change my edits slightly to fit your needs, overall, my editing process will stay the same and if it is not your favorite that is ok!
If you love my images, then we can move forward!
The next thing to check out is my “investment” page. This will tell you if your budget aligns with my work. Additionally, it will give you some information on what to expect for your session and gallery.
After doing this you should be ready to reach out to me. There are several options when doing this. You can fill out a contact form on the “contact” page, send me a message on any of my socials, or just give me a call or text!
Generally the information you should have prepared to provide me with is:
What type of session do you need?
How soon do you need the session to take place?
How many people will be in the photos?
Where do you want to have the session?(or at least what feel do you want the photos to have and I can give you suggestions)
Something to consider while booking- Time of day is very important to create different feelings in your photos. If we book mid-day while the sun is at its highest we will likely stick to shaded areas and you will not have the sun in your images. If you are able, the best time to book is early morning or late afternoon to evening. With children I generally have better luck with a morning session time. For couples sessions I ALWAYS suggest a sunrise or sunset session.
Once we go over all of this I will get your email and send you an invoice and contract. Each session requires 25% of the price to be paid upon booking. The remaining 75% will be paid by the session date.
If desired I can also send over my Location guide and my Outfit guide!
Once we get to your session day, plan to arrive 15 minutes early to get parking, get everyone out of the car (especially important for kids), and get familiar with your surroundings.
Generally, I will go through most of the session posing you or giving prompts and at the end ask if you have any ideas that you absolutely want to try. If you would prefer that I not pose you, please let me know this ahead of time.
The editing process for a regular session takes around 1-2 weeks, though sometimes I finish in a couple days. You will receive some sneak peeks sooner than that though. For weddings or events it generally take me 4-6 weeks to complete the gallery. You will receive sneak peeks for those as well.
Follow my instagram and Facebook to see your sneak peeks featured!
Soon after you receive your photos I will send an invite to leave me a review. This is the end of the process and I hope this gives you a good idea of what to expect!
Thank you.
