What to Expect

What to Expect During the Booking Process and Your Session.

Ready to Work Together? Here’s What to Expect

Before reaching out, I always recommend starting with my [Portfolio]. This is where you'll truly get a feel for my work and whether my style aligns with your vision. My editing process is intentional and consistent. While I can make subtle adjustments to tone or warmth, I aim to keep the storytelling and artistic integrity of each image intact. If you find yourself drawn to the emotion, light, and connection in my photos, we’re likely a perfect fit.

Next, take a look at my [Services] page. You’ll find a breakdown of the investment, what’s included with your session, and what to expect in your final gallery. My sessions are designed to offer more than just beautiful photos, they’re crafted to feel effortless, meaningful, and full of connection.

When you’re ready to inquire, you have a few easy options:
• Fill out the form on my [Contact] page
• Send a message through Instagram or Facebook
• Or, reach out directly via call or text

To streamline the process, it’s helpful to know:
• What type of session you’re looking for
• Your ideal timeframe or date
• Who will be included in the photos
• Location ideas (or the vibe you’re going for—I’m happy to help with suggestions)

Time of day is one of the most important choices when it comes to creating artful, emotive images.
Midday sessions can work in shaded areas, but for that dreamy, glowing light you see in my portfolio, early morning or golden hour (sunrise/sunset) is best. Morning sessions are great for little ones, while couples often shine at sunset.

Once we finalize the details, I’ll send over a proposal with your contract and invoice. A 25% non-refundable retainer is due to secure your date, with the remaining balance due by your session.

You’ll also receive helpful planning resources, like my Location Guide, so you feel confident and prepared.

On session day, I recommend arriving about 15 minutes early to allow time for parking, settling in, and getting comfortable with the space—especially for families with young kids.

Throughout your session, I’ll guide you with natural prompts and gentle posing to capture genuine emotion. Near the end, I’ll check in to see if there’s anything specific you’d like to include. If you prefer a more candid, unposed approach, just let me know—I’ll tailor the experience to you.

Gallery turnaround is typically about 2 weeks for standard sessions, and 4–8 weeks for weddings or events. Once your gallery is delivered, I’ll invite you to leave a review—your feedback helps me grow and means the world.

Thank you again for considering me to document your story. I can’t wait to hear more about your vision and create something timeless together.
